This is urgent. The Railway needs your help.
We don’t say this lightly. In a sea of rising costs and falling revenues the last few years have been tough for almost everyone in the grassroots music scene. As you probably know, venues have been closing at an alarming rate. For a long time we have been trying to manage alone, but The Railway is at severe risk of closure and we can’t do it without you. It’s that simple.
This show is fundraising for our crowd funder to ensure that we can remain open and putting on the music and events that you love! If you can’t make the show please consider donating to the crowd funder here: SAVE THE RAILWAY

Who’s playing and why?
University of Winchester student bands and solo artists clubbing together to present a fantastic night of original music to help keep their beloved local music venue open! All proceeds go to The Railway’s crowd funder to ensure live music can continue to thrive in Winchester!
Cheap Faith
Formed in January 2024, Cheap Faith are a five piece indie grunge band that play music from a different planet!
Apricity
Apricity are a 5 piece alt-rock band from Winchester. With influences ranging from 2000s emo to heavy metal, they write tracks that are as hard hitting as they are catchy. Apricity are currently preparing to release their debut EP, a collection of energetic songs that will leave you wanting more.
The Hollows
Having met at University, The Hollows are a 5-piece indie rock band from Winchester, influenced by a variety of styles, including post-punk, dream-pop and jazz rock.
Emily May
Emily May is a Jazz singer from Devon who vocally draws inspiration from Billie Holiday, encapsulating the finesse sounds of a smoky jazz club. May can take you to the 1940’s with her technique, resembling the vocals of a jazz standard. Emily May creates her own Neo Soul music that draws influences, from Jazz, Folk, Bossa Nova and Psychedelia to create her own unique sound. Having performed at many different venues across the South and South West, she has proven herself as a captivating performer whose music naturally comes into a new light on stage. Her lyrics are soulful and come from different topics such as overcoming struggles to finding contentment within your state of mind.
Emily Fowler
Emily Fowler is a 19-year-old singer/songwriter. She is a second year Uni of Winchester Music Student. Her songs are all acoustic and heartfelt about various things, ranging from relationships to growing up and moving on. She is inspired by
recent sing/songwriters in the industry and hopes everyone can feel how much her songs mean to her.
