A special evening of music and the spoken word at The Jazz Room in Waterloo on Friday, August 15, to help launch this year’s Strummerfest (taking place August 16 at Waterloo Public Square). Thanks to the support of Uptown Waterloo BIA and the lawyers at Miller Thomson LLP in Waterloo, the evening includes musical performances by
Matthew Campbell
David Clifton, and
Fear of Birds
and features an intimate visit with Juno Award winning, Hall of Fame musician Bob Egan, formerly of Blue Rodeo. Bob will share some music along with an insightful and impactful talk that explores the hard road he’s taken to reach the good life of becoming a member of Blue Rodeo.

Strummerfest proceeds support charity: Humanity Unlimited Global; the Waterloo Region Suicide Prevention Council; and House of Friendship.
