In this class, students will learn the basics of how to create a comic. Instructor Elisa Peña will provide each student with the tools of the trade, and will lead a creative lesson on comic structure! Students will be led through exercises to build their comic making skills and go home with knowledge of the trade!
Please note that all children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Instructor Biography:
Elisa Peña is the self employed artist and owner of Artistrybyelisa. While a Texas State University graduate with a B.F.A. in Communication Design, Elisa is based in their hometown, Corpus Christi, Texas. Elisa strives to create work representative of identity, as well as pop culture, through media including printmaking, digital art, painting, and fiber arts. They love making traditional art as well as merchandise that makes their work more accessible to the masses!
