The annual Downtown Stroudsburg Tree Lighting is free to attend and set to be held on Black Friday, November 28th from 530-730 in courthouse square Festivities include a 10 piece a brass and percussion band, words from elected officials and the Monroe county poet laureate, photos with the grinch, and a beloved winter princess.
If all goes well in the North Pole, Santa himself is set to arrive at 6pm. Keeping with tradition, The countdown for the tree lighting will be held at 630.
Eventgoers are encouraged to eat and shop in Downtown Stroudsburg before and after the event. Please return on Saturday to support our local stores for shop small business Saturday. There is free metered parking in Stroudsburg boro from Thanksgiving to Sunday November 30th.
North 7th street, Monroe street between 6th and 7th, as well as courthouse square will be closed from 2pm to 9pm to insure public safety at the event.
This is not a vendor event, there are no vendor spaces to rent. Anyone saying they are accepting applications to vend at this event are a scam. Peddlers will be asked to leave.
