Come and sing Bach’s exhilarating Magnificat with us in October! This fantastic piece will be the musical highlight but we also have room to fit in some other wonderful music including Bruckner’s Pange Lingua, Tavener’s Song for Athene and another mystery piece. Stroud Refugee Choir is a special community choir open to everybody on a first come, first served basis when we get together for a single opportunity each year. Each year we raise as much money as we can for refugee charities in the UK and overseas, whilst having a great time singing some lovely music! Last year we raised over £6000 in one day, incredible.This year we’ll be performing on Sunday 20th October in St Laurence Church, Stroud. Attending the ‘come and sing’ rehearsal all day on Sunday 20th October is essential, there will also be rehearsals on Sunday evenings; 22nd Sept, 29th Sept, 6th Oct and 13th Oct, which are optional but highly recommended. The price remains £25 per singer and we do hope you’ll join us again! Scores are included in your donation if you need and will be available from late August.
