Stroud CircleSinging - A Celebration of Life Through Song

After four beautiful years of singing together, each of us learning with a range of teachers and cultivating our own flavours of vocal improvisation, we’re opening our space to share this living practice with you all.
These CircleSinging gatherings are an invitation to celebrate life through song and let whatever is present in our bodies and in our times move and transform through our voices, breath by breath, heartbeat by heartbeat.
We’ll explore this practice through simple vocal games, grooves, and harmonies, creating spontaneous music together. Like our human ancestors who sang to alchemise the joys, griefs, and longings of their times, we’ll come together in community to sing what wants to be sung.
Circle Singing is a form of collective improvised song held in a supportive circle. You’re free to choose how much you wish to participate, you can sing as part of the circle, try leading an improvised song, or simply listen and let the music soak in from a place of rest.
All voices are welcome, whether you’ve been improvising for a while or are just beginning your singing journey, this is a space to let your heart sing out.

Pay What You Can: £5–£15
Funds go towards covering venue costs and supporting the facilitator’s work.
If finances are a barrier, please get in touch as free places are available.

Teas provided - bring your own snacks.
Who it’s for:
All voices are welcome.
Babes in arms are welcome, as are children who want to actively join in the singing (please note this is not a play space for children who are not participating).
We’re committed to making this space accessible for people with different needs, come as you are. Resting, pausing, or simply being present are all welcome ways of participating.
