STRONGWILLED: A Religious Trauma Art Experience
Come join us at Legacy Coffee Company for an interactive event that delves into the impact of childhood religious trauma through art installations, hands-on experiences, and more. This in-person experience will include:
An evangelical pastor's study circa 1997 (complete with artifacts)
A children's church set-up
Various altars to STRONGWILLED children, the black sheep of families, and to all queer children who grew up in a religious authoritarian family.
Crafting opportunities using evangelical books and religious indoctrination materials
Music
Merch
Food and Beverages for sale
Come join D.L. Mayfield as they share the art they have been making out of evangelical indoctrination materials and connect with other like-minded souls. Be prepared to laugh, be horrified, and process what it was like to grow up white evangelical in the United States.
Masks are required for this event to keep everyone safe.
