Welcome to the Stronger Together: Fitness for Healing After Trauma and Brain Injury Event!
Join us at Healthworks Fitness Back Bay for two hours of healing, empowerment, and community through fitness. This in-person, trauma informed class, is designed to support women and non-binary individuals recovering from trauma and brain injuries by combining the power of exercise with the strength of peer connections.
We especially welcome survivors of intimate partner violence and assault, offering a safe space to explore how to return to exercise after a brain injury while fostering a sense of community and resilience, but all are welcome.
Our experienced team will guide you through a one-hour workout tailored to promote both physical and mental well-being. You'll have the support of researchers, exercise physiologists, fitness instructors, and social workers who are dedicated to helping you feel comfortable and supported every step of the way. We’ll monitor for any symptoms during the class and adjust as needed to ensure your safety and comfort. This event protect your privacy by ensuring no photos or videos are taken, and keep names private.
After the workout, enjoy refreshments and an opportunity to connect with our team and fellow group members. Share your experiences, ask questions, and celebrate the strength we build together.
