Try A Tri Guernsey is hosting a mini event for all of you budding Swim Runners out there! This is your opportunity to have a go at this fun sport, with or without a buddy, and use this one-off 'no pressure' event to find out what a swim run really feels like, practice with some of the swim - run equipment or use it as a training practice for an event you may have already entered!With the Guernsey Tri Club's West Coast Swim Run and the Herm Swim Run in the calendar this summer, as well as the Swim Run Jersey event taking place in September this is the perfect chance to get a practice in first!
This event has been created to be a 'manageable challenge' for all to have a go, minus the pressure of competing! The full event distances are:
Run 1: 2.5km
Swim 1: 800m
Run 2: 3km
Swim 2: 800m
Run 3 and finish: 400m
You can also choose to do HALF of the distance i.e. Run 1, Swim 1, Run 2, STOP

MANDATORY 'in water' equipment:
Shorty wetsuit (a surfy one is fine)
Bright Swim Hat
Goggles
Trainers (these stay on for the duration of the swim run)
RECOMMENDED equipment:
Pull Buoy
Paddles
Tether (if with a partner)
Tow Float
