To help Lehigh Valley community members understand their own potential risks of stroke, Good Shepherd Rehabilitation is hosting a free stroke-risk screening event on May 23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.The annual event will take place at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital, 3200 Center Valley Parkway, Center Valley, PA 18034. It is open to anyone age 18 and older.

Walk-ins are welcome, too.
At the free event, Good Shepherd will offer a variety of stations, including:
-Cholesterol and blood sugar screening (fast for 1 hour prior to attending the event)
-Fall-risk assessments and education on how to decrease your risk of falling
-Heart rate and blood pressure screening
-Height, weight, body mass index (BMI) and waist-circumference assessment
-Nutrition education and healthy snacks
Additionally, Bananarama’s food truck, known for a variety of whipped banana “nice cream” sundaes, will be on site.
Free parking is available close to the hospital’s front entrance.
