Are you interested in learning about a tool that will allow you to cut strips of fabric more quickly and accurately? Q.U.I.L.T.S member Laura Swensen has one for you! Creative Grid’s Stripology rulers. Laura has been teaching classes on using these rulers at Adirondack Quilts and reports that they are a game changer for cutting fabric. She uses them on every quilt she makes. Reviewers share that they don't slip and are very sturdy.
In this workshop Laura will teach us how to use this valuable tool while we make a project with the block “Strip Joints" (shown in the event photo) in the size of our choice. And if you already have a Striplogy ruler and would like a refresher, that will work, too!
In recognition of the cost of Stripology rulers, the Q.U.I.L.T.S.’ Programs committee is partnering with Dianne’s Quilted Square to place a bulk order of Stripology XL and Squared rulers. Dianne is giving us a 10% discount and the Programs committee will be subsidizing them by a further 30%. Dianne will also be discounting the patterns.

- These discounts are available only to Q.U.I.L.T.S. members who sign up for the workshop by 10/24/24, a deadline set to allow time for the order to be placed and received.
- Payments for the rulers and patterns are non-refundable.
- Q.U.I.L.T.S. will provide a 30% subsidy on one ruler per participant.
- Non-members are welcome to sign up for the workshop but will need to source their own Stripology rulers and patterns.
If you already have an XL or Squared Stripology Ruler, want to order one on your own or decide to join us after the first deadline, you’ll need to register by 11/4/24. (Laura warns that there is currently an issue with counterfeit Stripology rulers on Amazon.)
Member Cost: $20.00 workshop fee for members, plus pattern ($11.00) and ruler (see options on registration form.)
Non-member cost: $30.00 workshop fee for non-members. Rulers and patterns to be sourced by individuals.
Deadlines: By 10/24 to participate in ruler/pattern order. By 11/4 to provide own ruler/pattern.
