The Friends of the National Library of Australia will present their annual collection viewing event formerly known as White Gloves. This year we will be joined by our curator Dr Susannah Helman who will explore some highlights and unexpected gems from our music collections. From 16th century manuscripts to a violin and bow crafted from a stockman's tucker-box, through to items representing contemporary Australian music legends, this one-night-only collection display is certain to strike a chord.
Hear a short talk from Dr Helman in our theatre, followed by the collection viewing and drinks and canapes in the Foyer. The evening's musical entertainment will be provided by harpist Rowan Phemister.
Tickets are $50 for Friends members and $60 for non-members.
