String Fairy Lights Mini Lampshade Workshop With Lottie's Hoard

Create your very own mini lampshades on a string of fairy lights using fabric, trims and your very own hands.
About this Event

Do you love the look of fairy lights twinkling in your home but can't find anything to match your home? Can't find what you really want in the generic home stores as everything looks the same? Then come along to this workshop and learn how to make your very own stunning, and unique, home decoration with the help of an expert lamoshade maker.

I'll teach you how to cut out your lampshades, attach your fabric of choice, add some stunning trims and finally attach them to your string of fairy lights. You'll be provided with all of the materials that you'll need, including a wide selection of both Vintage and new fabrics, a variety of trims such as ribbon, ric rac and fringing. You'll be given a string of twenty battery operated fairy lights and can make as many mini lampshades as you can in this two hour workshop.

String of 20 warm white fairy lights, all materials and tools needed to create these stunning mini lampshades, expert tuition from a professional lampshade maker, tea/coffee, sweet treats to keep your energy levels up and a friendly environment to learn your new skill. Chats and laughter guaranteed.

I'll provide a wide selection of fabrics and trims however if you wish to bring along your own fabric you are more than welcome. Cotton or linen fabrics work brilliantly, please avoid all things silk as they simply won't adhere to the backings sadly. You will need a piece of fabric at least 60cm x 60cm to make your shades.
