Fundraiser STRIDE Class for Team Cholangio
Come join us for a special fundraiser to support ! This class will be coached by Leanne, in support of Jaye Pedante, her stepmother, who has been a Cholangio Carcinoma warrior since being diagnosed in 2021. From Jaye:
"I found a community of Cholangiocarcinoma warriors in Wilmington, Delaware and have been active with a charitable organization called Team Cure Cholangio (TCC). The organization has raised over $800,000 for research into effective treatments for this deadly disease. I have recently joined the board of this organization and am honored to be involved with this effort. All funds raised go directly into research specifically for cholangiocarcinoma, and to date we have funded several research grants already.
Every day I hear Leanne’s voice in my head telling me to get outside and enjoy this beautiful world we live in. I make it a point to do that, and it always brings me peace and joy – and energy! I am so appreciative of her for so many things, and arranging this fundraiser is just one more thing to add to the list!"
A study in JAMA predicts that liver cancer and intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma will be the third leading cause of cancer death by 2040, making funding research an immediate need.
This in-person event will be held at STRIDE, so lace up your sneakers and get ready to break a sweat for a great cause. The class will consist of treadmill walking or running intervals and sets of strength work, set in a party atmosphere.
