FELABRATION is a musical celebration of the life, times and legacy of Fela Anikulapo Kuti, a Nigerian musician and human rights activist known for pioneering the afrobeat genre of music.
Fela was imprisoned dozens of times for speaking up for Nigerian rights and he never let that deter him from using his music as a weapon against injustice. This is 2024, and his music still rings true.
The Hanoi Vinyl Collective will be taking over the decks at Standing Bar on Friday 17 October for an evening of non-stop vinyl playing tunes by the great man himself and the music he inspired.
