About this Event
Family law cases often include difficult, emotional circumstances for client and attorney alike, and our city just recently faced an unprecedented trauma impacting the family law community. This can result in increased stress, grief, and even trauma.
Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada's Resiliency & Justice Center (previously known as the Vegas Strong Resiliency Center) invites you to join a conversation and learning opportunity to discuss stress, trauma, and coping in the world of family law today. Learn about ways to cope with stress and trauma, manage anxiety in "real time," and find meaning from loss.
This program will be presented by Jacqueline Harris, MA, LMFT, LADC, and Tyler J. Winkler, Esq., in the Engelstad Family Classroom at Legal Aid Center and online via Zoom. Jacqueline is the state's Behavioral Health Coordinator for the Resiliency & Justice Center with over 25 years of experience working with children, adults, and families. She is trained in a variety of evidence-based practices, such as motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapies, and cognitive behavior therapies. Tyler is a public interest and legal aid attorney who joined the center in 2018. He advocates for victims of crime in a wide array of legal matters as well as helping to connect clients with resources and support.
Nevada-licensed or emeritus-certified attorneys can earn 1.0 AAMH Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit by attending online or in-person. For information about other upcoming CLEs offered by Legal Aid Center, please visit www.lacsn.org/cle.
