Join Chey Johns (she/her) from Canmore Counselling for a relaxing and restorative workshop designed to help you navigate the holiday season with ease and balance. Through gentle yoga, mindfulness practices, and journalling, you’ll learn effective tools to reduce stress, stay present, and prioritize self-care. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by holiday demands or just looking to unwind, this workshop will guide you in cultivating calm and resilience. Leave with practical techniques you can use every day to manage stress and find moments of peace amidst the busy season.

Accessibility Note:
The space is fully accessible with a pull-door entry and a gender-neutral washroom. The workshop will include seated practices and gentle yoga, making it suitable for most mobility levels. Please feel free to adjust the practice to meet your personal comfort needs.
Meet the Facilitator:
Chey Johns (she/her) identifies as Jamaican and Anishinaabekwe (an Anishinaabe woman) from Wikwemikong Unceded Territory, and is currently living in Mohkinstsis (Calgary, AB). As a certified trauma-informed yoga teacher and Master of Counselling Psychology student, she integrates traditional yoga techniques with practices to support psychological well-being. Chey is dedicated to ensuring that yoga is accessible and inclusive to everyone. Chey aims to create an environment in her classes where people can cultivate a connection with their bodies through choice-making and present-moment awareness. Chey incorporates mindfulness, asana (physical postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), and yoga philosophy into her classes.
