About this Event

IMPORTANT UPDATE: In light of the continued rise in COVID cases, and the widespread virulence of the delta and delta+ variants of the virus, we have decided it is in our communities best interest to postpone Stress Less Fest.

We WILL have Stress Less Fest, and in-person, but we don't have a rescheduled date yet as we are keeping an eye on COVID to decide when a good time would be to finally get back together in a large crowd. We are hoping to use the extra time to just make something even bigger and better.

We would like to take a moment to name how distressing it is that this pandemic has continued. Whether you are feeling uncertain, sad, frustrated, overwhelmed, emotional exhausted, or any array of big emotions- we are sending you so much love.

To meet the continued need for extra emotional support during this time, Peer Support Space has extended our Daily Communal Gatherings until further notice. These are a virtual space that takes place at 12PM and at 6PM, Monday-Saturday, and are a space for community members to give and receive support to one another. Please email [email protected] if you would like to link to join. These Daily Communal Gatherings have been used over 10,000 times since the start of the pandemic. There is never pressure to share when attending and you can join as frequently or sparingly as meets your needs. You can learn more about this resource or browse all of Peer Support Space's additional, free resources here.

Due to having to postpone this event, all event details are subject to change.

Event Summary:

While we have all had unique experiences over the last year, the pandemic has taken a toll on the mental and emotional wellness of many. Our community deserves a break and some fun. Stress Less Fest is just that, a celebration of community resiliency and finally being able to congregate in person. This event will feature bounce houses, live music, a pet fashion contest and various stations to de-stress!

Old and new friends are all welcome to join Stress Less Fest! The event date and location are TBA!

More Information About Event:

Event will open with a communal scream ceremony. We will be counting to three and then, if wanted, putting up our middle fingers and screaming. Breathe in some normalcy, and screaming out all of the stress of the last year and a half, or perhaps lifetime. If you are triggered by loud voices, we recommend you arrive 30 minutes late to the event.

From there, you are welcome to enjoy our live music and performances on the lawn (blankets recommended) or you can check out our many stress less booths. Be sure to also check out the event's mental health resource fair, advocacy and pride merchandise, and silent auction!

Stress Less Booths are still building but tentatively include:

  • Bounce Houses
  • Bubble Station
  • DIY Stress Ball Station
  • Painting Stars of Hope
  • Vision Boards
  • Affirmation Station
  • Face Painting
  • Aromatherapy Station
  • Spray Paint Station
  • Vent Tent
  • Relaxation Station
  • Hula Hoop Station
  • Coloring Station

We recommend a $10 donation to Peer Support Space to enter but all are welcome regardless of ability to donate.

$125 VIP tickets are available for exclusive access to front row stage seating, your name listed in program, and entrance to our Zen Zone with food platters, refreshments, therapy dogs, take home comfort items, and more!

Additional information about available stress less booths and performers coming soon! Food is available for purchase. Outside food is welcomed to the event as well.

Pet Fashion Contest

This event will also feature a Pet Fashion Contest. Entering is $35. All types of pet are welcome. Participating includes walking your pet across the stage while reading a bio about their hobbies and how they support mental wellness. The audience will choose the winning pet by applause and the winner will receive 50% of the contest's proceeds, the other 50% will support free emotional wellness resources. To enter the contest or for more information contact [email protected]

About Peer Support Space:

The best part? 100% of proceeds go to supporting Peer Support Space's free emotional wellness resources, a vital resource supporting those struggling mentally with the ramifications of COVID and with acclimating to a new normal, once again. Since PSS was founded in 2019, the grassroots organization has built a community of over 8,000 individuals. The Orlando-based nonprofit has been featured in the news over 25 times. During COVID, PSS began emergency mental health support services that were used over 6,000 times across 10 states and 8 countries. Peer Support Space (PSS) is 100% led for and by those with lived experience navigating mental health challenges. The organization aims to build peer-led recovery communities of shared lived experience while focusing on LGBTQ+, Black, Latinx, disabled, and other communities that have a historic distrust of traditional mental health services or a lack of access to culturally affirming care.
