About this Event

Are you longing to attend a show this summer, but the fear of how your horse is going to behave in such a stressful environment is preventing you?

Join Anna, for a pre-show rehearsal where you can introduce your horse to a show-like setting without the stress of the real thing. This clinic is ideal for any youngsters or horses (and owners) that have done little or no showing, lack confidence in new situations, or those with poor ground manners and/or unresponsive in the saddle.

Being at a show is stressful enough without having to worry about how your horse is going to react. By gradually exposing them to new situations, addressing any issues that arise whilst maintaining connection, you’re setting them up to succeed in the ring (and life!)

This clinic will follow a similar set up to a class, working at first in a group, learning the fundamentals needed for your horse to become light and responsive to cues whilst strengthening the partnership between you. Then, you will work individually, moving calmly through the stages of the test, learning how to overcome any challenges with confidence. Each of you will have individual requirements, for example, if your horse is struggling to walk calmly, you can’t expect them to trot a figure of 8 smoothly. Anna will work with your individual needs, setting achievable goals, and helping set a solid foundation for you to successfully continue.

Just like a show, it’s not over until your horse has loaded back onto the trailer or lorry; a common struggle for many. Therefore, Anna will be available to work with you through this issue should it arise.

The clinic can ridden or non-ridden. Those wishing to do as ridden, please contact Anna to discuss further.

No age limits, allowing participants on lead rein or recently off lead rein to attend, helping build confidence from a young age.

Anna will be hosting a 'Confidence Boosting with Obstacles' at the same location the following day giving you the chance to develop your skills further. 10% discount for both!
