About this Event
Despite progress, Indigenous Peoples in Mexico continue to face systemic underfunding, limited access to direct resources, and exclusion from decision-making spaces. While Indigenous-led organizing has strengthened, there are still few Indigenous-Led Funds (ILFs) operating in Mexico. Questions such as 'Why don’t we see Indigenous-led funds in Mexico?' underscore the importance of bringing together Indigenous organizations, funders, and networks to explore pathways for strengthening Indigenous-led philanthropy.
The Indigenous Peoples and Mexican Philanthropy Trends Dialogue seeks to foster an ecosystem where philanthropy listens, commits, and co-creates strategies with Indigenous Peoples. This space is not about extraction or consultation — it is about co-responsibility, shared learning, and collective action that supports long-term systemic change. This Dialogue will bring together Indigenous organizations, Indigenous-Led Funds from Mexico, and funders working in or interested in supporting Indigenous-led philanthropy.
