About this Event

Strengthening Families 10-14

Come join us for an exciting event focused on strengthening families with children aged 10-14. This in-person 7 session gathering will be held at the UF/Duval County Extension. Starting September 25 through November 6. Meet up every Thursday.

Through interactive activities, you and your child will:

Learn to manage emotions and set positive goals
Strengthen communication and decision-making skills
Build confidence to handle peer pressure
Create stronger, more supportive relationships at home

Parents will also discover how to show love while setting limits, listen more effectively, and encourage appreciation within the family. Youth will have a chance to share, grow, and feel supported in a positive environment.

Dinner is provided each sessionBreakout sessions for parents and youth, with the final session bringing everyone together as a familyIncentives, door prizes, and games included
