The Connection Project- A Peer-Led Wellness Center in Norfolk, Nebraska is raising funds for their Gym! This gym is free to all people who are in substance use/mental health recovery. All funds raised at this event will go towards continuing operations and new equipment.
Weigh-ins: Will take place at The Connection Project (119 W. Norfolk Ave, Norfolk, NE) from 11-8pm on Friday, June 13th as well as at the venue (Skyview Lake) the morning of.
The Cutoff date for registration and to guarantee a t-shirt is May 31st, 2025.

Event Rules:
Overhead Press Medley Rules:
Athletes must complete one rep each with the Circus Dumbbell and Axle (in order) before moving on to the log. The Log requires one clean, then press away for max reps. Full lockout (arms, knees, head through, feet in line) and judge’s down signal are required. Athletes have a 90-second time limit. Chalk and belts allowed (1 soft, 1 hard); no tacky.
Open Stone Throw Rules (Highland Games Style):
Athletes throw a stone (16-22 lbs for men, 8-12 lbs for women) from a stationary or glide position. Throws must be made within a designated throwing area. Stone must be released with one hand only. Fouls include stepping out of bounds or over the trig. Longest legal throw wins.
Wagon Wheel Axle Bar Deadlift Rules (Max Weight - Wessel's Rules):
Athletes attempt max weight with three attempts each, progressing only with successful lifts. Wessel's Rules apply: failure to lift eliminates the athlete. Straps, chalk allowed, no tacky or suits. Full lockout required (hips, knees locked, shoulders back). Judge's down signal required; dropping or incomplete lift disqualifies the attempt. 20lb jumps. 3rd attempt you can call your weight.
Truck Pull Rules (40' Course):
Athletes pull a truck 40 feet using a harness and optional rope for assistance. Time stops when the front of the truck crosses the finish line. Max time to finish is 60 seconds. Chalk allowed; no tacky. If the course is not completed, the furthest distance pulled will be recorded. Women/Novice/LW men will pull Toyota Tacoma. Open Men TBD.
Stone Over Bar Rules:
Athletes lift a stone over a set-height bar for max repetitions within the time limit. Each rep counts when the stone fully clears the bar. Dropping or rolling stones toward the bar is not allowed. Tacky and chalk are permitted. A tacky cleaning station will be available post-event. Tacky cleaning station will be available to all athletes.
