Mark your calendars! On November 9th CrossFit Recreate is hosting its 4thAnnual Strength for Kids event benefiting the Children’s Advocacy Center of Butler County. (Butler County Alliance for Children). The Children's Advocacy Center is a child-friendly location where members of the multidisciplinary investigative team (MDIT), consisting of child welfare personnel, law enforcement officials, medical and mental professionals, prosecution and victim advocates meet to coordinate a response to allegations of child abuse. https://www.butlercountycac.orgParticipation is easy! There is a $20 “buy in” to hold your spot. Then, by finding as many sponsors as you want, they can help you reach the minimum donation of $0.20 per pound lifted (but there is no maximum)! Examples of sponsors include yourself, family members, friends, small businesses, or anyone willing to donate money for your lifts! We will have two different sections running: the CrossFit total (1RM backsquat, shoulder press, and deadlift) and Olympic Lifting (clean and jerk, and snatch). You are welcome to participate in one or both!
How it works: Heats will run every 30 minutes. Each CrossFit Total Participant will have 25 mins to hit their 3 1RMs and each Olympic Lifting Athlete will have 20 mins to hit their 2 1RMs. Once your judge has tallied up the total weight lifted in pounds, that number will be used to calculate
