Artists and neighborhood partners interested in beautifying a traffic signal box in their community are invited to a free informational workshop with Julia Muney Moore, Director of Public Art at the Indy Arts Council, at the Fort Ben Branch Library.

What is Streetcorner Canvases?

Streetcorner Canvases is the City of Indianapolis’ traffic signal box (“TSB”) art program, through which communities can engage with artists and each other to develop artwork on TSBs in their neighborhood. The Indy Arts Council has been managing the program on behalf of the City since 2015. Thanks to funding from the City of Indianapolis and the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of Realtors (MIBOR), neighborhoods can apply to partner with the Arts Council on TSB projects. TSB artwork created will be listed in the Arts Council’s Public Art Directory.
