This citizen-science event will help the Athens Shade Tree Commission create an inventory of street trees to aid in managing the city's urban canopy. We will have expert arborists, foresters, and ecologists to teach about the importance of citizen-science, how to identify trees, and how technology can help improve the environment for all.
