After the Battle of Point Pleasant in 1774, four prominent Shawnee men are sent to Williamsburg to live with Lord Dunmore for several months. Their presence as diplomatic hostages held the peace negotiations together between the Indigenous and Virginian factions in the conflict known as the Shawnee-Dunmore War. Join us in front of the Raleigh Tavern and come witness the arrival of these Shawnee “Princes” into the city and the reactions when two cultures collide.
