Strawberry Launch is a female-fronted indie pop rock band from New York City. They were formed in 2018 by lead singer Riiza, who cold-called guitarist Matrianna Gahol. The band quickly added Abby Flicker on bass, Taylor Hurt on keyboard, and Benjy Berkowitz on drums.Strawberry Launch's debut EP, released in 2021, gained praise from critics and fans alike. Their music has been described as "soaring, authentic, and astral psychedelic rock" by Atwood Magazine and "the bands fearless approach to dissecting the complexities of modern romance sets them apart" by RGM.
The band has built a devoted following in New York City and has shared the stage with artists such as Beach Bunny, Hot Flash Heat Wave, Small Crush, and The Toxhards. They have also performed at major festivals such as North by Northeast (NXNE).
