May is National Strawberry Month. Make memories with your family while incorporating the timeless strawberry theme. Projects include, decorating cupcake cutouts with underglaze, making a pinch method jewelry dish, or a coil pot painted like a strawberry. Join us in the classroom space for this iconic motif 🍓
Participants will use handbuilding techniques to create pieces. The instructor will demonstrate pinch, coil, and slab techniques. Students will use the techniques to create adorable strawberry shallow dishes or coil pot planters. .A texture overview & how to attach 2 pieces of clay will be presented.
Students will be able to pick the glaze color of their choice for their pieces. SCCA staff will fire and glaze all pieces following the class. Participants will be called and emailed when their pieces are complete and ready for pickup. This takes a minimum of 3-5 weeks.

Family Clay Workshops are designed for families to come and play in clay together. Ages 3 and up are welcome. Price of this workshop reflects the cost per family unit.
This class is happening at our classroom location at 1271 Market Street in Chattanooga, TN.
Find the classroom: The classroom space is behind the Firestone building at the corner of Market and W. 13th Street. Classroom entrance is located on West 13th Street directly across from Urban Stack, while the entrance to the parking lot is on Cowart Street. If our parking lot is full, there is plenty of street parking available on Cowart, West 13th, and Market Street.
