Learn simple Straw Plaiting by making a Harvest Token, then decorate with ribbon. Nov 15, 2 -3pm. This is workshop is part of our Celebration of Heritage Craft! Harvest Tokens have been used for a variety of purposes from binding lasting love, ensuring a fruitful harvest and even protecting a loved one.
Traditionally after a Harvest Token is plaited it’s decorated with a pertinent bit of cloth, ribbon or color to the recipient- students are therefore encouraged to bring a strip of baby blanket, clothing or colored ribbon. An assortment of ribbon and cloth will be available.
