Strategic Planning for Career Programs in Higher Education

This engaging hybrid, 2-day workshop (in-person) and capstone (online) is for career services professionals within higher education institutions who aim to elevate their strategic planning capabilities for career and professional development programs. Participants will delve into the core principles of strategic planning, focusing on effective assessment techniques, goal setting, stakeholder engagement, and the optimization of resources. The workshop emphasizes the practical application of these concepts through interactive sessions, enabling attendees to develop actionable strategies for integrating innovative technologies and approaches within their career services offerings. A vital outcome of this workshop is the development of a tailored, workable draft of a strategic plan that participants can refine and implement at their respective institutions. The capstone portion of this workshop includes four online meetings over 30 days. Consultants will meet online to discuss their progress and receive feedback. An overview of the participants' strategic plan is due at the end of the capstone.
