About this Event

THIS EVENT IS INVITATION ONLY TO PARTNER & CORPORATE MEMBERS.

As devolution reshapes the North East’s economic landscape, the relationship between business and education has never been more critical.

This strategic boardroom brings together senior leaders to explore how industry and further education can truly co-own the regional growth agenda - anchoring investment, innovation and skills where they matter most: in our places.

You’ll gain insight into what makes a place-based strategy work in reality, how to align your business with regional investment priorities and how collaborative approaches to skills can directly strengthen your organisation’s competitiveness, resilience and long-term growth.

The event will be chaired by Rachel Anderson, NECC assistant director - policy, who had led the Tees Valley & North of Tyne local skills improvement plan activity in recent years.

This event is supported by the Principalship Team at Newcastle College.

What's the format?

On, there are refreshments followed by a few words of introduction from the Chamber team, followed by introductions around the table. After this, we’ll hear from our industry leads for around twenty minutes, followed by a boardroom discussion.

Why Attend?

✅ Candid conversations on the most pressing business challenges

✅ Peer-level insight sharing in a trusted, confidential setting

✅ Strategic connections with senior, regional decision-makers
