The Strata Festival has rounded up the lowest acoustic instruments in the province—bass, saxophone, tuba, contrabassoon, double bass, pipe organ, and contrabass clarinet—and have asked Saskatchewan composers to write for this unique combination. This concert, which was
originally premiered during the COVID-19 pandemic as on online experience, will be presented in a live setting where audience goers can revel in the low rumblings of these instruments in Saskatoon’s cavernous Knox United Church.
