Route 2 - Strange Sheffield Ghost Walks

Revised Route for Autumn 2024 featuring approx 30% new stories!

Join storyteller Adrian Finney for a spooky walk through Sheffield's past!

Get ready for ghost stories, local legends, and the weird, hidden history of the city. You'll hear about:

Haunted happenings in the library, possibly linked to a spooky Victorian past.

The site of a long-forgotten plague pit.

The surprising (and very Sheffield!) origin of a classic swear word.

But that's not all! We'll even explore a piece of old Sheffield known as Paradise itself. Hear tales of friendly ghosts, a mischievous spirit who hates a certain drink, and the hilarious story of how Sheffield became a city.

This walk is part spooky, part funny, and all about Sheffield's hidden side.

Advance adult tickets: £10 each. Tickets for under-14s: £7.50. Booking fees may apply.

Pay on the night: Adults £12, Children £8. All feorms of contactless payment are accepted.

Where: We begin on Tudor Square, next to the Sheffield Central Library, S1 1XZ. what3words: blame.strings.rocky

We finish a short distance away at The Three Tuns pub

Age Recommendation: Best for ages 14 and up. Younger children welcome but please apply discretion when booking. The finish location is a licensed premises so no-one under 18 is allowed to come inside - though there is a plan in place to make sure that younger attendees don't miss out on any stories

Length: The walk covers about three-quarters of a mile and takes 90 minutes.
