About this Event
It's cold, dark, and windy in New York City. That can only mean one thing:
It's January.
Step off the frigid streets and into The Carnegie Club to kick 2025 off with jazzy vibes, brand new cigars from Quesada, and phenomenal scotch to pair.
That's right, on Thursday, January 30th at 8pm, we're hosting our first Straight Up & Toasted event of the year, where we will pair two of the brand-new Casa Magna Maduro cigars with two exceptional Bruichladdich scotches: Islay Barley 2014 and the complex, 18-year-old single malt. The Casa Magna Maduro is the latest in the acclaimed series, continuing the legacy of innovation and quality established by the award-winning Casa Magna Colorado line. All of this will be backdropped with incredible live jazz.
Don't let January get you down! Grab some friends and come smoke and sip extraordinary products at one of New York City's last hold-outs among the historic cigar bar scene.

Bruichladdich Scotch
Bruichladdich Islay Barley 2014: Bruichladdich Islay Barley 2014 is an unpeated single malt crafted from barley grown on eight local farms within 11 miles of the distillery. Fully traceable from farm to glass, it is matured in a combination of first-fill bourbon casks, sherry butts, and second-fill wine casks, highlighting the balance between the oak and the locally grown barley. The whisky offers notes of apricot, peach, malty digestive biscuit, and fresh grass, with a subtle maritime hint reflecting its Islay origins.
Bruichladdich 18: The Bruichladdich 18 is matured exclusively on Islay, primarily in ex-bourbon casks, with a smaller selection of Sauternes and Port casks. These components are vatted and married for nine months, resulting in a whisky that balances floral and fruity notes with honeyed sweetness, stone fruit, and soft oak influences. This carefully crafted single malt highlights the distillery’s ability to create complex and refined flavors.
Casa Magna Maduro
The Casa Magna Maduro is a premium cigar crafted by Quesada Cigars at their Tabacos de Exportación (TABADEX) factory in the Dominican Republic. This cigar features a Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and a filler blend comprising tobaccos from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and the United States. The Casa Magna line, a collaboration between Manuel Quesada and Nestor Plasencia, debuted in 2008 with the Casa Magna Colorado, a Nicaraguan puro that earned the title of Cigar Aficionado's Cigar of the Year.
