The Olney Gallery returns to First Friday with an exhibit by incarcerated and formerly incarcerated artists.Straight from the Heart Art Shows is a non-profit that is a beacon of hope and transformation for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals. This organization humanizes the stories of these individuals. Through these shows, the artists share their journeys and resilience. Ninety percent of the proceeds from art sales go directly to the artists. The funds play a vital role in helping them transition back into society, whether by covering basic hygiene needs while incarcerated or assisting with essential living expenses upon release.
