We're delighted that Joyce, an award-winning local author/illustrator, agreed to let us showcase her beautiful new book, Beatrice Was a Tree! Come picnic in the gardens, play lawn games, and experience the StoryWalk for yourself at this launch party.
This beautifully illustrated book illuminates the importance of trees to our planet. It teaches children about tree anatomy, shows how trees change with each season, gives a simple explanation of photosynthesis, and includes a checklist of animals that appear throughout the story. We think it's the perfect choice to celebrate the lovely trees in our garden.
