Join ASATT Community Initiative for a fun and interactive storytime. Author Farrah Qazi will read her beautifully illustrated book In Her Shoes, about a young girl named Maliha who donates her favorite pair of shoes, never imagining the impact that simple act will have on Zaina, a refugee child in Syria. Through their shared journey, readers discover that even the smallest gesture of kindness can ripple across continents and change lives. After the reading, Farrah will lead a related craft.
About the author: Farrah Qazi is an immigration attorney, author, mother and advocate for women’s rights who has dedicated her career to helping survivors of abuse and trafficking find safety and freedom. Her new children’s book, In Her Shoes, inspires young readers to embrace empathy, resilience, and courage. Through both her legal work and her writing, she gives voice to those too often silenced and builds bridges of hope across communities.
