Build your child’s communication skills through Shared Reading!“Storytime with AAC” aims to support families/caregivers of emergent communicators by demonstrating language using AAC Systems, helping children develop a love for reading and building language through shared interaction and connection. This program is conducted by graduate students in the "LISTEN with AAC" training program at Cal State East Bay.
Who Can Attend? This program is designed for emergent communicators, ages 7 & under who are learning to communicate using AAC Systems. Open to children of all abilities! Please note that communicating with AAC Systems is usually very slow, and we will pace the story time with this in mind.
Registration required. A parent/caregiver must accompany the child for all the sessions. Due to limited seating, we request only 1 caregiver per child. For questions or additional accommodations, please contact [email protected]
