A Different Storytime Experience!
At Storytime Explorers Camp, children will explore stories with Professor Watermelon. Each day will have a different theme and start with a story our campers engage with through puppets, songs, and dancing.
The campers then create their own stories through imaginative play and art, guided by Professor Watermelon and using the real-life storybook setting of the James Whitcomb Riley Museum Home and gardens as inspiration. The unique setting adds a touch of magic to this memorable summer camp experience.
About the Camp
Who: Limited to children going into Kindergarten through going into 2nd grade. Campers must be fully potty-trained to attend.
When: June 11, 12 and 13 from 9am-12pm.
Where: 528 Lockerbie St., Indianapolis, IN 46202
What: Campers will start each day with a highly interactive story time then transition into activities and imaginative play all themed around the story of the day.
Kids will have the opportunity to explore the historic James Whitcomb Riley Museum Home to look for inspiration for their own stories. The day will also include a healthy snack and a chance for outdoor play.
Professor Watermelon, aka Chadwick Gillenwater, is highly experienced creative writing teacher and educational entertainer.
