Participants will work with a professional storyteller in finding/creating a story and learning storytelling skills.Library Storytelling Workshop
Open to grades 3-12
Dates: January 25, February 1, 8, 22, March 1 and 8
Time: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Students will be asked:
1. To find/bring a potential story (3-6 mins long). *Storyteller will be able to help find one if needed.
2. Learn storytelling skills and share in a workshop setting to polish story.
3. Practice at home!
4. Finalists will be invited to city wide showcase.
**We asks students to attend all days within the residency. January 25th is the first day of the residency and introduction.
Participants in the Murray Storytelling Showcase are chosen from our various storytelling residencies that are held throughout the school year. Finalists from the Showcase are invited to participate in the Annual County event, Story Crossroads, held in Murray Park and other county facilities.
