Join artist Eva Christensen for an intensive two-day workshop exploring personal storytelling through watercolour and gouache. This immersive weekend experience is designed for painters who want to elevate their narrative painting skills and take a personal project from concept through to near-completion (or completion) in a supportive, focused environment.Through guided instruction, demonstrations, and individualized coaching, you'll work on your own meaningful painting while learning Eva's process for transforming personal photographs into compelling visual narratives.
Core components include:
* Addressing common pitfalls when working with watercolour and gouache
* Deep-dive techniques for advanced watercolour application
* Composition and storytelling strategies for personal narratives
* Group and individual critiques with targeted feedback
* Exercises to explore and develop your unique painting voice
* Real-time demonstrations as Eva paints alongside you
Important Note: This is not a beginner watercolour course. To ensure you'll benefit fully from this intensive workshop, participants should have experience with:
* Basic watercolour techniques and terminology
* Color mixing and brush control
* Understanding of paint consistency and layering
Participants must bring their own materials (detailed list provided upon registration) and reference photo(s) for their weekend painting project
