Film, art, poetry, and community in solidarity with the liberation movements of the world
About this Event

Storytelling in Solidarity is a mixed-media event for those who stand in solidarity with the world’s liberation movements. Through film, spoken word, poetry, music, and visual art, community members from all different backgrounds share their stories related to historical, current, local, and international initiatives to gain freedom and effect change in the world.

This event brings together art, storytelling, and community which have all historically been an act of resistance against injustice.

Whatever you're feeling right now about the injustices we are witnessing - these are all valid responses to the colonial violence around us. Through this event, we hope to create an inclusive and motivating space to share those feelings through stories and art so that you may feel invigorated to continue to speak up against injustice and feel empowered when connected with the collective to disrupt the status quo.

Let's do it together. Join us on August 10th.

------------------------------------------------------------------

OPEN CALL for representations of liberation movements by the global majority of the world, including short film, art pieces, spoken word and poetry artists, musicians, dancers, photographers, and any other media and performance forms.

Performances and art selections will be exhibited at The Bath House Cultural Center on August 10th.
