For ages 13 and up. Registration Required and Space is Limited.Learn the basics of good live, oral, performative storytelling with local expert storyteller Elizabeth Lord. Learn how to shape a personal experience/memory into a compelling oral narrative and recall all its details without memorization. Learn what works when telling to an audience and what doesn't. Using traditional folktales and our own personal tales we will explore the art of storytelling. Each participant shall come away with a tale to tell, whether for friends and family or on the stage at the next StoryOly event. The Olympia Timberland Library will be hosting a StoryOly event on Thursday, May 9th at 6:30pm, the theme will be 'Surprises'!
