About this Event
Designed for Sarasota County children ages birth to five, Storybook Street collaborates with two dozen organizations to bring books to life, complete with preschool-sized fanfare. The event features art, dance, drama, music, movement, hands-on activities and more!
Picture your child’s excitement as a book-themed spectacle unfolds right in front of their eyes. Books are distributed at each vendor booth, tangible keepsakes of the magic they just witnessed.
Each family will have an opportunity to stop by 20 booths and walk away with a total of 20 books, a swag bag of goodies as well as meaningful, memorable moments to help foster an early love of reading.
Children are welcome to dress up as their favorite storybook character.
The whimsical event will feature the many creative talents of:
Sarasota Orchestra, Venice Theatre, Sarasota County Parks and Recreation, Gulf Coast Music Therapy, Nailed It DIY Sarasota, Sarasota Children’s Museum, Future of Dance, Sarasota County Libraries, All Faiths Food Bank, The Sarasota Players, Big Cat Habitat, State College of Florida, Little Medical School Suncoast, Sarasota Art Museum, The Haven, Leaders Uplifted, Selby Gardens, UF/IFAS Extension, Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium and Sarasota County Emergency Management!
*At least one child age 5 or younger must be in attendance with you on event day.
