Join us at Fred & Junes Books for an exciting and educational story time with author Lindsay Lundquist featuring her book "The Adventures of Willow: Finding Furr-Ever!" Lindsay will read her book for story time starting at 10:15 and will be in store with us until 11:15 as she chats about the book, and is available for autographs too!Follow along Willow’s first adventures as she embarks on a journey to finding her furever home. In The Adventures of Willow: Finding Furr-Ever, you will find various social-emotional learning skills modeled throughout, such as tolerating waiting, accepting “no,” responding to a child who may be having big emotions, and many more!
As Willow ventures along her journey she will face various obstacles, emotions and thoughts, just as every child will face along their own adventures while learning new skills.
The inspiration for The Adventures of Willow: Finding Furr-Ever, came from Lindsay’s personal journey with her dog, Willow, combined with her passion for teaching acceptance, compassion, and emotional regulation skills.
About the author:
Lindsay Lundquist is a local children’s author and owner of Blossom Behavioral Solutions. Lindsay is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and provides trauma-informed behavior therapy to children and adolescents, focusing on the impact of emotions and internal thoughts on behaviors and building valuable skills. She is the author of The Adventures of Willow: Finding Furr-Ever and published the book in 2023. Lindsay has a strong passion for helping others grow. She wrote The Adventures of Willow: Finding Furr-Ever to help teach children various coping strategies, tolerance strategies, and acceptance of emotions (among many other skills!) while connecting with a heartwarming story about a foster puppy along her journey to finding her furever home.
