Story Time in the Garden 2024 - Bring the YoungstersJoin us in our Children’s Garden, for a relaxing educational activity where your family will enjoy a short story and you can spend time exploring our children’s garden.
There will be activities appropriate for young children. Pack a snack & enjoy some time in nature. This is an outside event, please dress appropriately.
Storytime in the garden for July 3 will feature a book by Lois Ehlert, titled Waiting for Wings. In addition to hearing her colorful words about the life of a butterfly, we will seek to identify host plants in the garden and different types of butterflies we may see in Maryland. All are welcome.
It’s free and no reservations are required.
The Children’s Garden is at the far end of our Demo Garden, behind the Extension Building. Wednesdays, 10-11 am, son May 1, June 5, July 3, August 7, September 4, October 2 (Rain dates one week later.)
