About the Book:

About the Author:
Deborah Marcero is the author-illustrator of several picture books, including In a Jar, My Heart is a Compass, and Rosie & Crayon, as well as the emerging readers series Haylee and Comet. She is on faculty at Vermont College of Fine Arts.
Her favorite mediums are ink (with brush and pen), pencil (HB), watercolor, gouache, colored pencil, charcoal and digital. When she’s not drawing or writing, reading or teaching, Deborah can be found on her bike, in her garden, on the XC ski trails, in her sea kayak or snuggling her dog Bear.
