About this Event
We will learn about the native and introduced plants of the Woonasquatucket Watershed and 4-5 embroidery stitches to create the stems, leaves, and flowers of your chosen plant. You will receive one piece of practive fabric and one "final fabric" and embroidery thread, needle, and hoop to take home to work on, then return to be sewn into the final quilt. There will be several public displays to celebrate community and the watershed. We will contact you via email with times, dates, and locations. Aprenderemos sobre las plantas nativas e introducidas de la cuenca del río Woonasquatucket y practicaremos 4 o 5 puntos de bordado para crear los tallos, las hojas y las flores de la planta que elijas. Recibirás una pieza de tela para practicar y otra para el trabajo final, además de hilo de bordar, aguja y bastidor para llevar a casa y trabajar en tu proyecto.
