Story Cube Adventures

Ever wanted to fill the library or bookshop with your own stories? Combining storytelling and crafting, Story Cube Adventures whisks you off to far away locations where you can discover all sorts of characters and interesting objects.

You will come away having created your own personalised Story Cube (yes, grown-ups you’ll get your own too!) and brimming with story ideas and tips to keep using your cube time and time again.

This event is aimed at families with children aged between six and nine and grown-ups are encouraged to take part too.

A&K’s Playground hosts events and workshops which encouraging you to think and see the world more playfully. Their activities invite families to set aside time, to be joyfully immersed in the moment, connect with others and be creative. They use a combination of techniques when facilitating intergenerational play including world building, storytelling and varying play styles so that everyone is invited to tap into their most playful self, no matter their age.

Central Library has on-street parking nearby. The main entrance is up several steps with double doors that open away from you. To get to the children's section, you will need to go through the main library. You can access the children's section through the entrance further down, which has a ramp and automatic double-width doors. There are accessible toilets and baby changing on the first floor, which is accessed by a lift.
