About this Event
Join us for a storytelling workshop with artist Jihan Thomas. Participants will use clay to create a sculpture based on their own story and learn about Elder Johnny Gossett, a North Philly artist whose wooden face sculptures are on display in the library.
Day 1, June 13th: Participants will create their own clay sculpture.
Day 2, June 27th: Participants will return to paint and finish their piece.
They can take their work home or share it with the library.
This is a two-part workshop. We recommend attending both sessions to complete the piece. No experience needed. For all ages.
This series is generously sponsored by The Estate of Edna Andrade and Locks Gallery, Philadelphia.
